The committee decided at the meeting last month that they were prepared to go ahead with a festival again in 2009. However David and Arthur will be looking to delegate some of the work. Negotiations have been started with Lydiard for use of the site and discussions are being held to try and get on site camping. Please remember that we make a loss on the festival that has to be recouped else where at the children's work-shops and displays that we do. Any help would be welcomed at these and any other fund raising ideas you have please let the committee know and they will try and support you.

This month we have Sunderland, Brighton, Barbury, Stroud, Hereford and Tewksbury so plenty to go to.

The Autumn 2008 workshop was proposed to be the Freeman Bargello butterfly. This has fallen through due to lack of support and the Freemans also had problems. They would like to try again next year and this will probably be the last time they are prepared to travel. Phil Scarfe has kindly offered to step in and run a workshop to make a poster kite with fussion tails to replace this loss. Details and booking form can be found here. This will be a much simpler kite suitable for all sewing abilities, so why not come along.

We have now changed our insurers to Zurich and increase our cover to £10,000,000 following some recent high profile cases. The new policy will be posted on the web site as soon as it arrives.
